Q: How did you design the DeMartini Method?
A: I started at 18 studying atomic physics, chemistry and astronomy which prompted my desire to integrate science and religion. As my studies progressed the subjects began to encompass an exploration of psychology and philosophy. I wanted to discover whether I could maximize human potential and awareness through an actual method. When I went into chiropractic I used my integrated approach to healing. Before entering chiropractic I was in pre-med and the precursors to the DeMartini Method were emerging from the start. I learned that there were 18 particles and antiparticles to make light. How Safe is the Latest SSRI Drug on Children and the Elderly in the Treatment of Depression

SSRI drugs that is, drugs belonging to the Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor class of drugs are used in the treatment of depression and generalized anxiety disorders. The latest such drug to enter the US market is Lexapro, whose active principle is escitalopram oxalate. Available in the US since 2002, Lexapro is superior to older SSRI drugs by way of smaller dosage, quicker onset of action, and milder side-effects in most cases. Yet, it is not without side-effects altogether and therefore requires expert medical attention during the treatment. This is particularly true in the cases of child and elderly patients.

Michigan Schools and Parents of Disabled Children in Conflict

As in other states, Michigan schools are seeing more and more parents of disabled children pulling them out of public schools, providing alternative private education, and then suing the Michigan Schools to foot the bill. It has become a problem and growing expense for public schools across the nation, ever since the passing of the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, which states that public schools are required to provide special education students with a free, appropriate public education. Disputes arise when parents and school administrators are in conflict over what is appropriate.

ADHD - Assessment & Diagnosis

Attention Deficit Hyper Activity Disorder according to Singh (2002) is a developmental disorder that is brain based and most often effect s children. This developmental disorder can be characterized as a disorder in which affects one s self control; primary aspects include difficulty with attention, impulse control, and activity levels usually diagnosed prior to the age of seven (Willoughby, 2003). It is estimated that nearly 4 to 12 percent of school age children have a type of ADHD (Pediatrics, 2000).
